The other day I received an email from one of my distributors making excuses why he was unable to build his business. It was quite a lenghty email, but it went on to talk about how he has sent hundreds of emails to his warm market, received little to no response and from those that did respond, they told him how most people they know who tried network marketing made little to no money and some even lost money. I expected to see this, but what I didn’t expect to see were the stats this individual tried to use to strengthen his lack of production.
Saturation in network marketing is one of the biggest excuses mentioned. To be honest, there is no such thing as saturation because regardless of how many people enroll in a company, churn happens, which means that there is a continual drop-out of distributors. Also, with over 330 Million people in the US alone, I doubt that there are more than 5 million distributors in ANY company, so saturation is the last thing that poses the problem.
In my little time in the industry, I believe the biggest problem is training. Most people who enroll in network marketing companies don’t give themselves time to get trained properly. Success in network marketing revolves greatly around an individual’s wilingness to become a better person than they were prior to starting their business. Unless one is willing to make positive changes on the inside, they will rarely see positive changes on the outside.
Saturation is a very weak excuse for failure in network marketing. If it is the reason, it’s probably because the distributor is saturated with negative mental processes. C.O.D.E. R.E.D.
